Show/hide toggle for bank account and routing numbers when entering vendor payout details
Description: When entering a vendor's bank details under Payout destination, the account and routing numbers are masked with asterisks as you type. This keeps sensitive info protected, but it makes it hard to double check the numbers while entering them, which increases the risk of a typo sending a payment to the wrong account or causing it to fail. Suggested solution: Add an eye icon next to the account and routing number fields so users can temporarily reveal what they've typed, then hide it again. The numbers would stay masked by default, and existing saved numbers would still never load back into the form. Why it matters: Makes it easier to verify bank details against the vendor's form before saving Reduces the chance of failed or misdirected ACH payments caused by a mistyped digit Keeps the current security protections in place, since numbers stay hidden unless the user chooses to reveal them Requested by: Genova Construction (Featurebase conversation 1304)
Option to stop the message window from opening automatically when inBuild loads
Description: A dialogue box opens by itself every time inBuild is opened, apparently because someone sent a message. For people who are in the middle of work (month end, in this case), it gets in the way, and there's no way to control when it appears. What would help: A setting (per user) to turn off the automatic pop-up, so the message window only opens when the user chooses to open it. If there's a new message, show a small indicator, such as a badge or a dot, instead of opening the window, so nothing is missed. Why it matters: Users want to decide when to read messages. An automatic pop-up on every login interrupts work, especially during busy periods. Submitted on behalf of Zach Smith, Smith Mountain Builders.
Flag or auto-create budget lines for costs coded to cost codes not on the budget
Description: When an invoice is coded to a cost code that doesn't exist on a project's budget, the cost doesn't show up anywhere on the budget. There's also nothing on the budget screen that tells you a cost is missing. This happens to us often with unforeseen costs that don't match any of the original budget lines. When someone reviews the budget, the totals look complete, but they're actually short. The only way to catch it right now is to manually compare the budget against QuickBooks, which is time consuming and easy to miss. What would help: Automatically create a budget line (at $0.00 original budget) when a cost is coded to a cost code that isn't on the project's budget yet, or At minimum, show a warning or an "Uncategorized / Unbudgeted Costs" section on the budget so users know there are costs that aren't being counted in the totals. Example: On our 329 Trans Basement project, invoice #16630 ($98.67) was coded to cost code 3.53.2, which wasn't on the budget. The cost didn't appear in Total Work Completed, and we only found it by checking QuickBooks. Submitted on behalf of Mike Mizelle, Allure Homes NC.
Short Keys back for Inbox assignments
When sending invoices out of the Admin Inbox to the PM approval inbox’s, you would be able to ctrl → enter to send the invoice with a pop up box stating “A review request will be sent to:” and usually in the past the “continue” box would be highlighted per say and all you would need to do is “enter” and the invoice goes on its merry way. But I can even tab it on the sending new request pop up to get it out, I have to use my curser to send it out. When there are over 100 invoices in the inbox to send out its a royal pain in the butt when that short key is missing. It works for the “deleting” and invoice, I have to tap 3x to delete it but I can at least tab it. It would be sick to have that back please!
Bulk DocuSign sending
Incorporate a bulk send feature in Docusign to select all the vendor invoices to one project in one billing cycle (this filter option is already there) and send each invoice out as a individual invoice and not combine them. Prior to IB merging there was a time it was working but then it wasn't anymore. But it would be super helpful to have that and not have to select each individual invoice especially if there are more then 5 invoices of the same vendor to send LW for.
Auto-Distribute Final Retention Amounts Across Contract Line Items
When closing out a vendor's contract at end of job, the Final Retention Invoice currently requires manually entering the retention release amount line by line under each cost code and change order. For contracts with many line items, that means keeping two browser tabs open (the Invoice screen and the Contract's Schedule of Values) and copying numbers back and forth, sometimes 20 to 40 times per contract, since the SOV's retainage-per-line data isn't surfaced on the invoicing screen itself. Requested feature: on Final Retention Invoices, add an option to auto-distribute the total retention release amount across the contract's rows, based on what the contract's SOV already has marked and booked for retainage per line. This would remove the manual tab switching and copy-paste entirely for multi-line contracts. Real-world impact: one customer doing 20+ final retention contract close-outs in a single day, each with potentially dozens of line items, estimates this would save significant time and reduce the risk of manual entry errors on numbers that need to be exact. Inbox sorting - ability to sort the inbox by "Date"
Allure Homes NC has requested a date sorting option for the invoice inbox in the V2 product. Mike Mizell reported that he prefers to view his oldest invoices first, but the current inbox layout requires him to scroll to the bottom of the list to find them, as no date-based sort is available at this stage. Current Behavior: Within the V2 inbox, users can currently sort invoices by project, vendor, and file name. No option exists to sort by date. Date sorting is only available downstream, in the Accounts Payable system, once invoices have already left the inbox. Requested Enhancement: Add a date sorting option to the invoice inbox in V2, alongside the existing project, vendor, and file name filters. This would allow users like Mike to prioritize.
Keyboard Shortcut Conflict: Invoice Navigation vs. Text Editing
I am experiencing a conflict with the keyboard shortcuts for navigating between previous and next invoices in BuilderPad Finance (inBuild). The current assignment of `Ctrl + Left/Right Arrow` interferes with my habitual use of these keys for word-by-word text navigation when typing notes, a common function in many applications. This causes me to accidentally navigate away from the invoice I am editing, leading to frustration and requiring me to go back and re-type. I would like to request that the 'prev invoice/next invoice' keyboard shortcuts be changed to the `Up/Down Arrow` keys, as this would resolve the conflict and align better with navigating a vertical list of inbox items.
Phone Number/Email Address
When creating a new project, include an area to input their phone number and email address. Have this information easily accessible/viewable below their address on the app and desktop at all times.
Adding Multiple Checklists to Schedule Items
The ability to add checklists to schedule items is great! Thank you for implementing this. Any way to have the ability to add multiple checklists to the same schedule item? I had developed separate checklist templates for each of our milestones and once a schedule item has a checklist attached, it does not populate to be able to receive another.
QR Codes
The capability for BP to create a QR code for individual folders/files within the File Cabinet.
Sorting Capabilities - Variants
Sorting and/or search capabilities in the Variants types and choices areas of Default Settings.
Remove Photo Option from Selections Export
The option to not a display a photo on the PDF export for individual selections items. The line would then only be as tall as the text. Ex:
Color Assignment to Individual Schedule Items
Would it be possible to assign different colors to schedule items. This request goes in tandem with the request to be able to hide the Schedule phases.
Hiding the Phases in the Schedule to just publish the Schedule Items
By having the ability to hide the phases of a job, only the schedule items would show. This would be useful to see the workflow in the Calendar and Gantt views. Now, the extended length of time for each phase confuses these views. The colors of the phase and corresponding items all blend together.
Ability to move a Schedule Offline to Edit
Would like to have the ability to only edit the schedule in the offline mode, then switch it back to online for viewing purposes. Right now, even on the mobile app, changes could be made at any point. This would act as a safeguard
Favorites
A way for clients to mark which selection items they like, without full-out approving the item. Similiar to a wish list or ‘favorites’ function on many shopping sites. Example: Client is deciding between 3 hardware options. They can ‘star’ them to remember the items they’re deciding between next time they log in. A plus would be if those could be exported into a similar doc like the Selections PDF Export or filtered out somehow.
Move posts between project activity feeds
I want to be able to move a post from one job's activity feed to another. This is important because if I record a walkthrough or post content in the wrong project by mistake, I currently have to manually download and re-upload it, which is time-consuming and can lead to upload errors.
Tagging Selection Items and/or Options - Setting Selection Upgrade Level
The ability to mark selection options by level i.e. standard, level 1, level 2, etc. Selections could then be sorted by level in the project. Useful if client only wants to see standard items, level 1, etc.
Retain Option Order
Retain the options’ order from the library when loading into a project. When I add an item to a project, in rearranges this order of the options.
